Haven’t been on the site for quite a while now. Today my Jimmything was wrecked in a car accident ☹️. I had so much time and effort into it. Think the wife’s happy no more time and money into it any more. I just want to cry! Went sas ,Toyota axels with 4.88 gears,upgraded calipers front and rear,custom driveshafts. Custom leaf springsall around,Custom anti wrap bar,gear driven top load Toyota t-case,advanced adapter to marry t-case to 4L60e trans.many mods to 4.3, rag joint replaced with flaming river uni,35’s on blacked out rims,3core ecp aluminum Rad. Fan cooled trans cooler with an inline filter,Roof rack with curved light bar ,side and rear lights,red neck steering gear. Led interior lights,aftermarket tail lights.On and on and gone. Soo sad. Then mad. Then sad again,dang.

thanks DonL everyone was fine! I’m really kinda lost now and I know insurance is gonna be a joke. Write it off and offer me nothing for it.
oh well… life throws weird curve *****. Guess what counts is how we deal with it ! ?

 

That's just it... insurance is there to make money off of people... kinda like taxes lol... but taxes make more sense, roads everyone uses needs to get repaired somehow... but paying every month for insurance, barely gets you a replacement vehicle...

It was solid ! I was always improving it and always repaired anything that needed it, right away. When I started on this site I had a 96 Jimmy. Independent suspension ,put a BDS lift in it but it wasn’t something I could really romp in the bush with ,incredible on the highway,really good engineering. Then I seen a fellow Canuck on the site named el butor (something like that)
and thought “yup that’s what I like/want! So I got me a 2ooo SLT, sunroof, leather ,full load and then my obsession (mental health issue)started. I now had the Jimmyfever from rebuilding the trans to putting skulls with red led lights in the eyes on the front fenders. Went through a lot of grief when an RCMP had issued me a vehicle inspection ticket (cop hated the lift). Put a Trail Gear T-case disc parking brake on it (because of Toyota axles) Fitted ABS to the rebuilt early 80’s Toyota axels. One of the rules “if the vehicle came with abs it has to have abs no matter what axels in it”. That in itself was a major feat.
