Default shift boot removal

So I am pretty sure by BTIS is stuck, and of course it got stuck when I was not near the house. So I read that the Blazzer/Jimmy have a override switch beside the shifter, floor mount. They said to remove the boot to access it. Why it couldn't of been put in a more convenient place is a mystery. Anyway, I am not sure how to remove the boot cover. I am afraid I will rip it, and and I can't find any videos on how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.
