when turning my 02 blazer off I noticed a slight knocking noise somewhere in the front its not very loud. does it about 3 times. any ideas what it might be?

The knocking noise could be caused by numerous things, such as balljoints, pitman arm, idler arm, shocks and other from suspension components. Just take it to a shop and have them take a look at your truck. Don't do my mistake, I didn't do that and I had to replace all of the above items excepts the shocks. And that will be replaced soon.

 

Do you mean a knocking noise under the hood? Like from the engine (almost like a loud ticking)...

 

like a knocking or rattle noise.. its not loud. and it only does it when I turn it off. and its only 3 knocks or rattles that you hear. in the front motor area so it sounds.

 

lifters or belt tensioner.

 

what does it cost to replace ?
