Default Slow?

I did a quick search and didnt find anything but.... are these blazers really slow? mine is a 2000 106k on it and i think my 99 z24 with 162k on it would smoke this thing lol. Now going from driving my cobalt ss, i could see it being a big change, but my blazer couldnt move out of its own way if it had to. I understand its a 4x4 suv...but geez. BTW shes all stock.

yes they are slow, but keep in mind these weren't made for speed (hence the 95mph governor) they are light trucks with low end power. When i accelerate mine i try to stay below 2k rpm, and boy does that ruin their day >

I kinda figured they were just semi slow, i also stay around 2k rpm. I guess im just use to having snappy 4 bangers. Im sure with a exhaust and intake it would help some...also a tune up. I think it has all the org. plugs, wires ect still on it.

Your Z24 has about 160 HP at under 3,000 pounds of weight.....the Blazers have 195 HP at 4,000 pounds of weight, that's a solid 2-3 Seconds to 60 mph a Z24 will beat it by.

If I remember right a Blazer is over 9 seconds to 60, a Z24 between 7-8.
