sold the blazer
yep sold it, it is going next week the guy that bought it is gonna try to get it to run or just use it for parts for his 97 got tired of this truck had it for almost 6 years, got me a 04 explorer to replace it 3 weeks ago, yes im actually a ford guy but the wife got this thing when we were dating, it may have more life into it or may serve to keep another going had a lot of good and bad memories in that old truck i started my own lawn care business in that old thing carrying it on in my explorer, even though my explorer is 2wd ill miss the 4wd in the blazer but i moved onto a newer nicer SUV.
Here is some pics of the old truck sitting in my driveway as it sits, i also happen to be looking at the weird blazer quirks thread, one of my "favorites" is the hood thing i had to fonzie it trying to open it half the time

Well I sold my 97 Blazer with 180,000 miles & regretted it every day, so I bought a 98 Blazer with 102,000 miles & I'm keeping it. I might buy another one as a spare.
Good luck with the EXPLODER. The trannys fail regularly. My buddy had an 05 Explorer & 58,000 miles his tranny failed & $3000 later he was in business. He bought it new. He was a mechanic for the city & the cost was because when the fail they wipe out hard parts that are very expensive. See you can't even check the trans fluid in the newer ones. You have to take them into a shop just to add any fluid. I'll take my Blazer over any Ford. I owned many Fords in my days. Oh I take that back I would take my old 56 Ford sedan with a T-Bird 312 that I built with the ole 3 on the tree with overdrive. I had A whooping $300 in it back in the 60s. That was a bunch of money. I rebuilt the 312 for $50 paid $250 for the car in perfect shape.

Only way I'd sell the Blazer is if I could get an Astro in the same or better condition as my truck. And since anything in the same year range with similar miles is still $2-3k more than my Blazer's worth, I'm sticking with the Blazer. Can't beat being paid in full!
I just traded my 04 blazer in for a used 2012 Traverse with 10,000 miles on it and fully loaded (except leather). Walked out the door paying 29 for the traverse. Got 4 for my blazer which had some issues including a broken gas gauge.
