@Ajbert...look at my signature is says that I have a custom front bumper that i built. I am going to mount it between the frame rails and have it come right through the middle of the bumper. I am also going to add some lights to the bumper....

don't think i really see many 8K winches out there. besides, the $$$ difference wouldn't be that much. and even a 9K lb wich is gonna strain under the weight of these trucks.

you should hear my 9K lb winch just pulling a disabled Blazer/Jimmy up onto my trailer. it's gotta be pretty similar to dragging it through the thick soup.


besides, i'd rather have a bigger winch, then to find out in the bush that the smaller one just won't cut it. which would really suck if it you that was stuck, and not one of your buddies.


but that's just my opinion.
