tailgate window problem

Default tailgate window problem

tthe tailgate window won't go up or down when I use the key in the tailgate . I cant find a replacement switch.Any suggestions?

It might be a short or possibly a disconnected wire. Does the window go down when you use the switch inside?

gonna have to climb back there and take off that access panel. see if power is going to the motor and you may have to jump the motor to get it down just to get the gate open to work on it easier

not sure where you're from, but i had corrosion problems with the wires where they went from the body to the TG on my 1st 'Burb. also noticed that the wires @ the firewall were worn through a little on a pinch weld, and could've possibly been shorting there as well.

i found both of those as i was tracing my own no movement issues. fixed them both @ the same time, never had any issues after that.

yes the window goes down when using the inside switch,however,if the tailgate was not latched just rite the window would.not go up I removed the acess panel and bypassed that problem. but the key switch still will not work. I live in california so I dont think corrosion itself is the problem. im stumped.
