Default Thinking of getting a Trailblazer/Envoy or Tahoe/Yukon

Hey everyone. I am graduating from college and once I start my new job, I am considering starting to save up for either a new truck or to replace the engine/trans on this one when they need replacement. If I decide to go the replacement vehicle route, I am considering a Trailblazer/Envoy (5.3L) or a Tahoe/Yukon (5.3/5.7/6). When the time comes, I would like to find one with as low miles as possible (50-75k) with leather. Then I would change all of the fluids and install a transmission cooler and cold air intake as I did with this truck after having a mechanic verify condition. Are there any year ranges to avoid? I realize that over the years, things get redesigned like the 4L60E in 2003, so I would be looking for a 2003-2008. Anyone else have any recommendations on what to look for in either platform? I was not looking to exit the S-10 family at the same time since I have alot invested in this truck and it is not worth much in terms of Blue Book value. I would want 2 vehicles just in case and I would still drive both. My mother even said I should get a Subaru and keep this one, but she got pissed when I said I will not drive a Japanese car since they are not built the same. She is biased because she drives a Toyota and has a friend with a Subaru. Thanks

My wife's dd is a 07 Trailblazer.
It has been a very good truck.
We have almost 80 K on it now
and had to change a waterpump.
But other than that, it has been real
good to us, It has the 4.2 6 in it and
is very spunky. It likes medium grade
gas better than regular, but we only
use that on long hauls. In town, about
17 mpg. Long hauls about 21.

I like the envoys besides the body

I just sold the 95K and 97C suburbans and got the old lady an 05 Yukon XL to haul our 6 kids around in. She loves it. I blacked out the glass and put HID lights in it. Its loaded with leather, and I like when I get to drive it on family outings. Gas milage isnt as good as my new Silverado and both have the 5.3... We havent had to fix anything on it, its a good truck. Its getting lowered and 20s this springtime.
