so the other day my mother bought me my first car, that car being a 1996 Jimmy. I already bought and insurance policy which is required by the state of Massachusetts. But after that I realized the bill of sale and back of the title where written over into my moms name. Will this affect me registering the car in my name? If it does what can I do about it? Will add my name on the title as an extra person allow me to register it under my name?

 

ive never seen a title with more then one name on it before but im sure everystate is differnet. probably have to call your dmv on this one. if worse came to worse just put it in your moms name and change it back over when the title shows up
