Alright well i got the s10 guys!!!! the guy started it and drove it into my parking spot off his trailer, but when i tried to drive it, it had trouble starting, and later down the road, bogged out on me. Im new to carburated engines and am worried. everyone says i have a great truck on my hands but i have such an un easy feeling in my stomach to have something that barely runs.
Seriously, motors like this require constant tinkering to run right, from tinkering with the carb to adjusting the timing, you gotta be handy with these motors.
Sounds like it might be out of time just a little, try turning the dizzy a little either direction and see if that helps.

yupp x2 on the welcome to the world of carbed hot rods... my friend drives an 85 mustang coupe. He keeps his timing light with him at all times bahaha. Not trying to worry you bud, but they do always require tinkering and what not. Also I saw it's not posi, which probably means its the stock rear end which also means it probably wont hold up to abuse for very long so go easy on it
