tv cable
i am looking for a TV cable for my 91 S10 blazer with a 92 vortec 4.3 wondering what other cars/trucks i can find one or where on the web i can find one. Where does it hook up on the transmission if it is on the drivers side or passenger side i got the truck for 350 and it was not there when i got it.

I hope you didnt drive it around without it either. its the life of the transmission, without it bad things happen as it controls all the fluid pressure.
Anyways,go to the yard. as long as its the same engine.same trans,it'll work. its on passenger side and its held in by 1 10mm bolt. remove the bolt, pull it out of the trans. it'll have a little clip on the end of the cable thats hooked to a loop in the trans. simply remove the loop and it'll come out. Have fun as the y pipe is in the way and its a pain to get too. One its in your vehicle,it must be set correctly. Just google "how to set detent cable 700r4". lots of how to's. its simple once you figure it out. Also, might as well do a fluid change,as that open hole probably let water and dirt in the trans too.

is yours cpi (silver intake manifold, with the orange vortec emblem on it) or the tbi with 2 main injectors? if its cpi,92-95. even those, most of the 93-95 was 4l60e trans which didnt have a tv cable. 92 was the first year with cpi (if you have it) and still used the 700r4 trans.
if its tbi,87ish to 92 s10s/s10 blazers/gmc jimmys. ones off 2.8's will not work.
Also, they do make a aftermarket which is adjustable. but they SUCK. tried one. hated it.
edit : dont try one off a fullsize truck, they are too long.

it is the w engine not the z.the 91 vin said it originally came with the throtle body engine but some one replaced with the w engine witch is in my 92 blazer so my 91 and 92 both have the same engine. cpi (silver intake manifold, with the orange vortec emblem on it)
