We'll see how it goes tomorrow. I'm going to see it tomorrow around lunch time. I've spent a fair about of time poking around the dodge forum. I read all the TSB's for the Ram from that gen and it seems like the only major one is the manifold and the plenum...it seems to be a common issue. Still haven't been able to find ANY documentation on the tranny's being a common issue, so I don't think that all the rumors and common thoughts are true, but I could be wrong I've never owned one. Besides that there doesn't seem to be many issues beyond regular maintenance like ball joints and u joints.
MPG is a concern for me, but reading about dodge forum and seeing people in 2500's and 3500 ram's getting the same mpg that I'm currently getting in my Blazer kind of re-assured me since I'm only getting a 1500. It does have the 5.9 360 in it though, which is the bigger engine. Oh well...we'll see what kind of shape it's in tomorrow.

My brother bought an '03 Dakota 5.9L Magnum V8 (new) with the money he got from his accidental shooting settlement. he loved it. LOVED it. eventually sold it to buy the wife a Matrix and him a XJ on 33's, but for the time he had it i think he went through like 3 sets of tires on it with no other issues.

Those things are fun. squirrley in the ice (surprise; it's a pickup) but pretty cool little trucks.

The few times i drove it i was always thuroughly impressed.

Didn't end up getting the Ram. The guy strung me along then decided not to sell. But i got something WAYYY better . I stuck with the bowtie and bought a 96 Tahoe. I'm picking it up tomorrow.

It's fully loaded including leather...4x4, towing package (with trailer brake), K&N filter, no rust, body is in mint shape, 200k KM on a 96, which is awesomely low mileage, newish AT tires on it, everything working.

Yeah I couldn't be happier. I LOVE the Tahoe's and always have. I'm super excited to finally go full sized.
