i sit fairly comfortable in my 97 SLT - not gansta or too close to the steering wheel either tbh. 6'2-3" and not a bean pole.

That's the year they switched to the 5.7 Vortec. No more throttle body injection and a 50 hp jump.
Actually it's the first year they didn't offer a manual, but I'm pretty sure you could get a 6.8L as well as an engine in the 96's.

Yes, it's the 5.7

fullsizechevy.com you say? I may jump over there from GMfullsizeforum.com... I'm fed up of the childish antics of 90% of that forum.
Is GMFullsize the one run by Brett? If so I won't be going there. I hated every forum he has run so far. It was just a place for all of him and his friends to go on and bash everyone else, because they're so much better. lol.

mines still bigger than yours Alex.

seriously though, after finding out your size, i'm surprised you stayed in the Blazer this long. don't get me wrong, i luv mine, but i find it a little lacking on interior space sometimes.

congrats on finding a new ride quickly. and one that you seem to be excited about owning.
I actually really like those tail light guards. They're glued directly on the tail light though, so if I were to take them off I'd risk breaking the tail light which I prefer not to do. I may paint them black at some point to try and match the truck better since I'm so anti chrome.
And I planned on getting rid of the Blazer this year anyway. I was busy buying a new house and moving, so I couldn't think about spending a lot of money on a new vehicle as well. Besides that before I moved I couldn't afford much of anything. I have the 'hoe parked infront of the Blazer right now. I can't believe the size difference. I'll snap a few pics as soon as I grab breakfast.

You sure? I guess my info is screwy haha.
Good lord some of you guys are tall. I'm 5'8" so I have plenty of space.

Yeah, about the size difference between trucks now. Our Suburban dwarfs my little low Blazer lol.

My inseam is 31. I have a stocky body, haha.
I want fullsize, but at the moment gas is killing me as is. Maybe when I can afford the 1999-2006 model Silvy it'll be time to upgrade for me.

I guess I must have been thinking of the 6.5L diesel. You are right, the 5.7 is the only gas engine offered that year.

I was wondering if you were thinking about the 454 that was available but only in the 'burb.
Huh, okay I guess I was right.
