home sweet home. only one man down. we left Chicago with 5 tires. we left Merrill Wisconsin with four. Many Lessons Learned, Grr. RIP Wrangler GSA brand new spare. we will always remember you. 😪😒

12.2 mpg with a lot of idling. Like locking the truck running every restaurant so the dog stayed warm. And 3 heat the truck back up attempts during last nights 20degree Iron Mountain Camp out ish. and pulling the trailer both ways in 3 the whole trip. and under $200 total, so I'm calling it good.
Quite the Road Trip!

Used my truck to tow my sailboat to Lake Coeur d'Alene for a quick overnight trip. I sailed with my friends in their newly built and launched 19' open boat. We stayed at a boat-in only camp and came back to the launch by midday. My sail sail for the year.

My friends' Caledonia Yawl under sail.

My friends' boat at the dock.

My boat, a Sparrow 16. Technically it can sleep 4 but that is like saying you have a 4 person tent and you can't put anything outside. LOL I've sailed it most of the the length of Puget Sound and through the San Juan Islands of Washinton.

yeah it's not often we clip off a thousand miles on a weekend. I literally drove all the way around Lake Michigan. note to self: side strap sandwiches do not work. unfortunately our 20 mile round-trip Backtrack Rescue Mission did not find the tire, but thankfully we also did not find anyone that got hit by the tire. I really wish the guy that flagged us down would have stopped with us to tell us where he saw it go off, but I also wish it hadn't come off so, lose lose.

Yeah I'm going to have to scout the local pick and pull when I have time. I've seen plenty of Blazers around here but no ZR2s. My hood is kind of messed up and I need a new one.

Thanks for sharing the pics! Brought back memories running teams with my brother in a semi truck... We had a dedicated run that went from Statesville NC out 2 Sumner WA and back... I remember saying back then that I would seriously consider living there but my wife can't stand the cold weather lol... The entire drive from the MT ID state line 2 the ID WA state line was beyond beautiful, some of the best country I have ever seen

Yeah it is pretty country. I learned when I lived in northern Indiana that I hated it thete and that it mattered to me where I lived.

I left my blazer at work today, so it can think about the way it's been treating me lately...
