Got the por-15 metal prep on the door right now, waiting for it to dry, then I will apply the first coat of por-15, wait a few hours for it to try tacky, then put another coat.

Figured out why the bottom of the door is rusted.
Found an old flyer for a concert that happened at a club in minneapolis who knows when, they put those stupid things in between doors and windows on cars to promote. Fell inside the door, blocked the drain hole in the door so water could not get out. I can still read the club name and part of who was performing. I should contact them and complain for a new door LOL

It is never ending for these things I swear, Drivers door pins and bushings need to be replaced again. This time I am going to remove the damn door, put some weld and drill it out to the right size. I also noticed that the hinge on the door does not sit close enough to the side on the body so I am going to have to bend that so it sits a bit closer. because right now its pulling the pin/bushing slightly out. Oh well.. Good thing i like working on cars.

Default coolant anti-freeze dexcool

So about 6 years ago my heater core got sludged up with the coolant dex cool. So we flushed it with the garden hose and replaced the coolant with dex cool again. This winter it happened again. We flushed it a with the garden hose and that got me through the winter, but it has been snowy and cold and I couldn't even defrost the windshield during May snow storms because there was no heat through the heater core. F*ck dexcool, we flushed it seriously with water through everything and then flushed it with the Prestone flush, and then flushed it again before putting in the regular Prestone antifreeze. Everything seems good, and there is hot air coming out of the defroster when I want it to.

I'm glad that I didn't have to replace the heater core. Changed the oil also with the Mobil1 5W-30

Finally got back to my Seized engine and i figured id take some pics of it to show you guys before i swapped the new one in...

And this is what i found...

That would have explained the knocking... and the seizing...
Found out that the Cam Position Sensor wire was cut and rusted. I am assuming sometime before i bought it...

That's why I bought the wife a '93 Volvo 940 to replace the Blazer. No rust on ANYTHING, and no yearly door pin/bushing, brake, & ball joint replacement.A lot less power, but good on gas.

Looking like nobody wants the Blazer, so it might become a yardhorse. I love driving it anyway - it pulls like a freight train with that carbureted newer engine in there. Amazing how much better the power output is on the second gen engines. Was playing around with it last night - found myself up to 50 mph on this narrow road here in seconds.

I have been lucky with balljoints thankfully. Checked them the other day, still tight as can be (giggity)

push the dome override button 4 times. I.m not sure of your motives but this will shut off your auto headlights, and maybe your drl for that trip only.

Cleaned the egr. I was sure it was starting to clog, but it was in good shape, not worth my time, but it was cheap and fast. Well it would have been fast, if it wasn't for the drunk that wandered over to help, I had to get him out of my way, and keep his hands off of my truck, without being to rude.
