I’ve only had Little Red about 10 days and she doesn’t need too much. Aside from a few maintainence items, this was the first bit of any fun I got to have:

I have just dropped the order to get the A/C components that the previous owner removed. Should be here Friday. This is for the crossing of Kansas going from Golden to KC with my wife.
Ordered the nerf bars my wife wanted for the upcoming trip from Oregon to Golden without using the Interstate system. 8 days of unpaved but graded roads, trails and some 4x4 areas which I am looking forward to traveling. Friend bought a '51 Land Rover in Oregon and we are getting it back to his place the hard way.The real question is will it a an episode of RoadKill or as he fantasizes Rover **** like Stephen Patchett's YouTube channel.
I will get the $22.50 lesson in patience for the Sunroof. Tired to line up the wrong hole for drill bit and broke a lift arm. Rick at the Sunroof Doctor was a big help. Should have backed off but the unit was a train wreck with no pieces in the right place when I took it off.
On plus side I was able to get the passenger side read window to open without breaking it.

Managed to install 2" springs on the front last weekend, between thunderstorms. Will hopefully get the back done this weekend. And let me tell ya, it was a massive PITA to do this on dirt with a couple of jacks. 😅

Ha, I know what you mean there. You're not far from me (I'm just south of you in Lake City Fl) and this time of the year I just put up a permanent fold-out tent/cover in front of the garage to get anything done :P
Yesterday I threw in my DIY tinted windows. They came out okay. Far from perfect, but to be honest I wish they were a little darker, so I may take a crack at tinting another set with some slightly darker tint and install those.
Today I finally got around to installing my urethane sway bar bushings and end links. The old frame mount bushings were splitting and the end links were splitting, so I figured it was about time for a change/upgrade
Had to swap the grease fittings on the frame mount brackets since the straight out ones that were on them, interfered with the skid plate. Luckily in my massive inventory of junk I had some 90 degree grease fittings just laying around :P
They sure look better, hopefully they perform just as good and last a long time pretty sure they old ones were originals (the frame mounts at least, I replaced the end links about 3 years ago) so they have to last 14 years to beat them
I went through the GM manual troubleshooting instructions and confirmed that it is the left front sensor for the airbag system that is bad. Gotta find a new one now. There was an intermittent open-circuit between the two leads that are part of the ground circuit. For good measure I found the ground for these on the frame and cleaned up the connections.
Since I had the front under-chassis panel off, I decided to try to track down a small oil leak. I also took off the skid-plate under the engine and I took a degreaser to the oil pan and surrounding areas so after I drove it a bit it would be easier to see the place it is leaking. While doing this I found that one of the oil pan bolts had come out and sure enough, that is where I saw the shiny film of oil coming down the side of the oil pan.
It must have come out somewhat recently, at lease after the nice weather started as the threads were clean and I could see the circle where the flange head of the bolt had masked the lip of the oil pan from getting dirty. I am not liking that a bolt could just come out as I have no recollection of ever messing with that bolt.
When I took one of the other bolts to the hardware store to get another I learned that the oil pan bolts are NOT metric but rather 5/16"-18 x 7/8"! This totally surprised me.
Of course the missing bolt was above the remote oil lines (second from the front) which meant having to loosen the mounting bolt for the oil lines bracket that attaches to the block so to be able to get enough room to get the wobble joint on my socket onto the bolt. I hated that bracket bolt when I was trying to install those lines and still do. I did only loosen it so that I would not have to fight to get is started again.
