They're controlled off a switch in the cab that gets power through ignition.

Early 2000's, not sure of the exact year. They will bolt right onto a 4wd

Use to have a set of chrome Firebird 16's on it a long time ago. Same basic looking wheel, just chrome

Don't know for sure yet, it may end up on the tailgate.

Got the license plate mounted to the wheel by making a removable "T" bracket to hold it. Thought about making a wheel cover with a see through pocket that I could just slide a plate into that would have velcro on one end to close it but I see those covers on the side of the road so I scratched that idea. I've seen the ones that are for sale that require you to have a complimentary bumper made by the same manufacturer but don't want to drop that much coin on a bumper when I can build one for less. I also like the building and design process so there's that aspect too.

Replaced the low-pressure AC compressor clutch switch located on the accumulator. (You do not have to vent the AC system to do this). Now the intermittent cold then warm/hot then cold air coming through the vents is fixed. A year ago I did a complete AC system rebuild replacing the compressor, hoses, condenser, and orifice valve. What I did not do was replace that switch. It is only $15 so it is worth also replacing if you too do a full system repair. (https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...ent-kit-97066/)

Here's a pic of the bracket and how it looks with a plate.

Looks good!

I got some work done on my fog lights, wire to my factory fog switch to work with the factory fogs.

Can you do a write up on how you did this? I might go this route if I can't find a tire carrier for my Blazer.

Does the state of Iowa allow mounting it to something that's not considered a permanent part of the body? I think some states don't.

I don't know the answer to that question. I've seen them in rear windows so I wouldn't think they'd have too much to say as long as you have one displayed. It's as permanent as a bumper, still held in place by two screws. It wouldn't be left on at night or I'd pull the carrier off and put it back to stock.

Iowa seems rather lenient when it comes to plates... Just got to make sure you have both a front and rear clearly showing.

Nice progress, I like the Envoy bumper cover on the pickup bumper, too.
