Checked my instrument panel voltage gauge against the voltage as measured by my Ultra-Gauge OBDII reader and to the voltage at fuse 14 as measured by my DMM. Fuse 14 is the circuit that supplies power to all of the instrument panel gauges.
In short, the OBDII voltage is the same as I measured at fuse 14.
But the voltmeter in the instrument panel is about 1.0 V higher when the engine is off and about 1.9 V higher when it is running; 11.80 V vs. 12.75 and 14.38 V vs. 16.3 V.
This is annoying to me. Especially because some of the diagnostics instructions in my GM Service manual direct you to use the voltage as read by the instrument panel gauge.
Changed out the left rear caliper, AGAIN... the first one I put on as a replacement was sticking still, causing it to drag and get stupid hot. Picked up a brand new one, put it on, and now the dragging is gone!
THEN, I went around the entire truck and flushed out all of the 16 year old 216k mile brake fluid for some fresh fluid. And honestly, the pedal feels better now!
I paid for the renewal of my registration for my Blazer with the DMV and chose a renewal for TWO YEARS instead of only one.
I know some might think it foolish to be that optimistic about a 21 y.o. SUV but I do think I've covered all of the issues that could make the old girl break down.

For the last 5 or 6 years, I started to renew mine for 2 years. Made more since when I only had two vehicles, I had it alternate so it was just one of the vehicles needing the renewal per year. Now I have 3 vehicles so I get hit with 2 vehicle renewals anyway every other year lol.
Took the spacers off the blazer and put them on the jimmy...
also noticed that the axle sits off center with the jimmy as well as the blazer. I swapped spacers sides to ever check.... Before driver After Before passenger After Covered the naled lugs Never had the little plastic piece that hold the hood suport, so took that off the zr2 as well
also started tearing apart the zr2, so I got the front bumper, front fender flares, and passenger box pieces for the body kit. But the full set of flares will definitely be good spare parts lol... hard enough to come across intact.
Changed oil. 5 quarts 5W-30 High Mileage
Continued fine-tuning AC. Yet another very nice day where it is not needed. Waiting for the double-barrel heat and humidity.
Washed codenser
Put on 2nd seat cover on backseat
I also took a little time to try to make the steering wheel more grippable.
