Finished installing a larger supplemental transmission cooler, Hayden 699.
This involved removing the radiator so was a bit of a hassle.
To install it without bending the hoses too tight, I installed several 90 degree elbows. I picked ones that would flow well along a constant radius path.

I had to remove the hood latch frame to install it.

I tow my sailboat that with trailer is 2,200 lbs over some large passes and up some steep grades (e.g., 1,700 ft in 6 miles) so I want to keep my transmission cool. This one has a thermal bypass switch built into it so that the fluid will bypass almost all of the cooler until its temperature is higher.
This is my insurance policy against every having my transmission fail again.

Smart. Whatever to keep our Blazer's from blowing up is worth it.
Finally got the Blazer back together after having on the jack stands for almost a month.
This is the list of what I did and tried to do:
Installed a new pitman arm
Tried to install the 1-ton idler arm
Replaced the radiator locating dowel bushings
Fixed leaks in radiator with JB Weld. This took a few attempts until I figured out how to locate them using a radiator pressure tester. I also learned that a few drops of acetone can thin the JB Weld just enough to let it flow and conform to the surfaces.

- Ball joints upper and lower
- Tie rods ends inner and outer
- Tie rod adjustor sleeves
- Control arm bushings upper and lower
- Front axle seals
- Wheel seals on the knuckles
- CV axle nuts
- torsion bar mounts
Also wire brushed, sanded, power washed and painted whatever parts I could. Still in the process of painting and allowing things to cure enough to put him back together.
Inspected wheel bearings and all good to go.
