You don't hear many refer their vehicles as a him.... does he have a name?
HAHA! Yeah I name all my things. Named him Jimbo.
Also have a 2007 HHR named Henry that my ex has now. Then I used to have a 1986 Ranger named Riley, a 1986 Mercury Capri named Bosa, and a 2001 Silverado Z71 named Dangle. Good times...
Replaced ignition starter switch (hopefully that fixes the starting issues)
Replaced gaskets and pulley seal on the power steering pump, flushed the power steering system and put new fluid in.
Replace water pump pulley
I was replacing the plugs on my window switches due to a random in-op condition of the drivers window when I decided to see if I could repaint the symbols.
It turned out pretty good but I wouldn't suggest any one do this. LOL
I used the gray Testors model paint and sprayed it with testors clear coat. Because my switches were not too worn down I could follow the molded outline of the symbols. I had to use the smallest brush I could find along with a magnifying glass.
Only after I did this did I find replacement switches on eBay that are also illuminated for about $35. (There are $15 ones but they are not illuminsted.)
Installed new Husky leaf springs and Husky mud flaps. The tie bolts on the new leaf springs were a half inch too short, so they didn't lock the lower plate in place; so I had to go to Advance Auto and get some five inch leaf spring tie bolts and just cut them down after I installed everything.
Removed what rust I cared to remove and sprayed rust reformer over everything, added high-temp paint on the exhaust pipe, added custom flaps in the rear wheel wells to protect the exhaust and frame from water and debris. Then sprayed truck bed liner in the wheel wells and unprotected areas where the tires are. Also new GM Charcoal canister. And happy the canister support tray isn't rusted away. I think I have one of the only original ones left in existence. HAHA XD
