what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
Its realy hot outside today so I pulled the LS into the garage, got rid of the rust on the rocker panels (no holes YAY) and the surface rust on the doors, primed then painted. Now no more rust! looks good too if I do say so myself. Duplicolor perfect match is exactly that.
One day I will save enough money to do my wheel hubs.

Got my roof-top light bar mount today!
Mounted the lights onto it, but haven't wired everything as of yet, still waiting on the CB antenna that will also be mounted to the bar. Will be running the wires for everything through the passenger side under the weather stripping under the door.

Thing is rock solid mounted to the existing rail mounting holes. I copied kiwiblazer's idea of the feet for mounting the bar to the rails.

Welcome the world of having a offroad lights...
kinda makes u feel more capable or getting things done having it installed huh?
as for me...*sigh*...started to take the steps off then said ..."oh sh't...better wait" cause i wanna get bedliner for the bottoms of the doors where the steps cover...n have it all ready for bed liner...before i take them off..n get any paint damage or rust start..aside from that..
took the gargoyles off the dash LMAO..which grr...took a chunk out..so had to grab a sharpie n patch it up..n realized the sun is bleaching my dash..:-| so might look into a dash carpet cause its not dark gray/black any more..its like..charcoal gray..or get a window sun blocker thing lol...what else...oh..no biggie..but for me it was...hauled a trailer for the first time..using MY truck lol..and put in my Canadian flag as a back seat cover..since no one is ever in my truck..i feel free to decorate the back seat lol...might get some thing to turn the overhead lights to green..(the front ones)...making a list now..and its just seems to keep getting longer..

I'm glad you had no pin holes...i did..and the schmuck who tried to fix mine..neglected to do it right...so now i'll have to redo it ALL my self..since the rust is leaching through the textured spray paint he put on..as opposed to my preferenced bed liner..
mine?!...is attatched to my roof baskett lol..but as kiwi blazer suggested...just get a cross bar from another blazers roof bar n mount it..try searching for roof lights..or doing a search for it..he gives a whole tutorial on how he did his.
...i was going to..but i got the baskett for free, and lights.....so i scooped it/them up!!
from page 166, second post down of this very thread . . .
Unfortunately, no I didn't make it, not that mechanicaly inclined
.
But, it wasn't that difficult to fabricate, I gave the guy at a local metalshop what I wanted and he had it knocked out in a couple days. Took a while to get it powder coated though, almost a week. Basically it is just a couple pieces of 1" tubing and some flat 1/8" metal for the feet and the tabs that the lights are mounted to. He also made me a switchbox for all the switches to fit in and another piece of flat metal that will connect between the two center lights for the CB antenna.
For less than the price of buying a name-brand pair of feet and simple rod between them, I got a rock-solid mount that also protects the lights from any low-hanging obsctacles! Now, just have to get it all wired-up and it will be even sweeter. Dread drilling a hole in the truck and trying to remove all the interior trim that will be needed in order to get it all wired-up
