what have you gotten done on your blazer today?

pull the front tires off and change the plugs through the wheel wells. the middle plug on the drivers side will still be a pain (steering shaft goes right across it) but a little time, patience, and a spark plug socket with a wrench on it, do a search, its a common gripe. might as well put wires, cap & rotor on as well. i always anti-seize coat the threads when putting plugs back in. wish everyone did.

the wobble extention really didnt work for me, i just slid the spark plug socket on, then used a wrench over the end of the socket, and loosened it bit by bit. the good news is todays spark plugs last a lot longer than they did 30 years ago. its quite possible in some cases to just change them once over the average ownership of a vehicle. unless your like me and drive it until it needs to be donated to the salvage yard.

There is a protective sleeve on that part of the steering shaft which covers a joint. I'm sure you've noticed that the shaft is fatter at that point.
Slide the sleeve down the shaft and out of the way. Then look for a flat spot in the joint. Turn the steering wheel to line up the flat spot with the spark plug. Go through the wheel well and the socket and extension will go right past the shaft and onto the plug.
