I changed oil & filter and installed the Flaming River U-joint on my Blazer today. It was far easier than replacing the rag joint in my wife's Jimmy. I love how the Blazer drives so far. I only took it out for a short trip as it was late and I was hungry. I'll take it for a longer trip tomorrow and see how I like it.

<edit> it is a very nice looking blazer & the lights look cool - in a pic.

I see HIDS everywhere and the only ones that bother me are the ones that people get to be extremely bright (10000k) and up and its just not cool. My headlights are (6000k) and are aimed down so that they dont shine in anybodys face, and you are right about the reflected textured material in my headlights they dont put out the way they should. But all in all nobody hi-beams me or gets pissed. Theres alot worse around here. I think alot more people should get them. You can see so much better in the dark. I see your not a huge fan of them though.

I took the blazer to the yard today and found some nice 40/60 leather back seats. They still don't have a head rest, but they are in great shape. I think $20 for em will buy em. Good deal? haha.

10000K are dark blue, the brightest are between 4300K - 5000K. The only thing I'm not a fan of is when they're in regular halogen housings & people don't aim them properly. You said yours are aimed as to not **** people off, wtg!

technically the brightest are the the 3000K but are stupid looking. 10K is very blue, 12K is blue almost purple. I work with HID kits a lot on weekends helping out my cousins shop. He does HID installs, window tinting and vinyl work.

also, 4-6K are the color least likely to draw attention to you from the cops because they are so close to stock coloring. anything else will give cops something to hassle you with

I was saying/meant that 4300K - 5000K are closest to daytime light around 1PM. that's the brightest so yeah, daylight is natural & shouldn't draw attention, till night. 3000K from what I've seen are like an early morning sun, fairly yellow.

I suppose a LOT depends on the manufacturer or retailer, what they're trying to sell & their rep/quality etc.

Oh, I forgot to post a pic of my brushguard lights when they are on at night. So here we go.

And chances are I will pick up those leather seats and swap out my cloth seats tomorrow at the yard. They have good prices on seats.
