I took of my 31's put my stock rear shocks on, and removed all lift that I had. All in attempt to see what kinda mpg's I can get. Then I bolted on my gold 16" Iroc factory wheels and tires. Doesn't look bad. If my mpgs go up I might get lowering block for the rear and modify my front bumpstops. It'll be ready for the urban wheelin' thread then. Lowered.... with a full brushguard and spare tire carrier out back. LOL!

Went from 17 average on a highway trip to 22 average mpg's. Now I need to save up for a new power steering box. Then the whole front suspension and drivetrain will be new. And now the wife starts asking me if we should get rid of it LOL!

did alot today, this morning i changed out a co-workers front hub/bearing on a '04 trailblazer, then when i got home i went to work on the '97 in my driveway. new front brake pads, new front shocks, greased front end, rotated tires. still have rear shocks to put on. looks like i need to drop the spare to do it easier, tommarrow is another day. front shocks probly make the most differance anyhow.

Hopefully the cb radio, antenna, pa speaker and all that jazz will be installed and ready to use Tuesday afternoon. Can't wait to use it! I got cut off 3 times within a 3 mile distance. One of those times, I laid on my horn for literally 30 seconds. The guy got in the other lane and I passed him and gave him the stare and of course I got the dirty bird from him and his passenger. When this stuff gets installed, I'll get on the pa system and rip the guy a new one!

- Last month I upgraded all the speakers; sounds awesome now!
- Then, a couple of weeks ago the drivers side power window motor died so I replaced that.
- Last Monday I replaced the passenger side front hub/bearing assembly and Lower ball joint.
- And this weekend I finished the job by replacing the drivers side front hub/bearing assembly.
