Got the control arm on. All the poppin,clunks,and knocks is gone. Sweet. The old ones were so bad i could spin the rod in circles using my fingers.

Changed an upper ball joint. Boot was torn completely. Joint was still good, but had extras laying around. Didn't really need to change it. I'll be buying control arms real soon. that have them already too.

Installed Pro Comp lights and kayak rack



I cut up an extra crossbar I had so I could mount the kayak racks and still have the entire safari rack available and keep the new lights from getting hit.



Picked up a kayak off CL today. Racks work great!!!

Finaly after months I got a day cool enough to get some work done.I replaced a broke trans dip stick and bolted everything back together that I had to undo to get in place.Which included the crossmember for the trans and the ypipe.

if its like the 1st gen trucks,i bet that crossmember was fun.

Well no actual work but I did just get the email from summit that they are processing my exchange for my lights

What a difference!!! them $29 Harbour Freight specials I had on before were CRAP!!! I am through buying $20 lights from autozone, etc... Gonna put a set of ProComp 5in lights w/ fluted lenses on the front for driving lights next.

I changed oil in the Jimmy and installed a Fumoto oil drain valve in place of the drain plug. I love it so far. I'll know some time in October when I probably do my next oil change.
