I went to the metal scrap place today looking for a sheet of metal i can make a front skidplate out of. They had a scrap alluminum skidplate there that almost fit my truck with alittle bit of modding. Hyped!!

in the attempt to get my 4wd working, i replaced all the vacuum lines on the truck, manually activiated the actuator for 4x4, and then ended up giving up for now

Aweee in due time sir Sadly the wheels I ordered from les schwab do not work but I rather like the look of my factory ones painted black, so I guess thats just what I'll do and save some money in the process.

Positively identified my 4x4 problem. As suspected, it's internal.

Sick of working on this thing (1 engine swap & 1 engine semi-rebuild in 2 years), so it shall remain 2x4 for the foreseeable future. Have no desire to yank the front diff a second time (first time was for nothing, trying to replace pan gasket - this is a 2nd gen engine in a 1st gen).

I'll be throwing some bags of coal in the back for extra traction whenever it snows. Guess the plus side is it'll keep me in shape ...

Sadly if it was sooner, and were closer i litteraly chucked a extra one in the scrap pile a while back. worked good too. Just didnt need it anymore and nobody wanted it.
