It is ... until those key ID wires break in the tilt column.

Easy fix though. Just a series of diodes from Radio Shack, and the car will start again.

Default Replaced Front Hub Assemblies

Replaced right & left front hub assemblies. I used Timken hubs. Passenger side was done first and I will be taking it all apart again as I noticed the inner CV boot has a tear in it. I also had difficulty getting the axle shaft fully seated. When I put the rotor, brake calipers and tire back on the wheel would not move like the brake pads were locked up. I ended up taking it all apart and making sure that it all went together correctly. On the drivers side I used a floor jack to jack up the lower control arm so the drive shaft was level. This made it much easier all around. (I removed the floor jack handle so I had plenty of room to work) To remove the 3 mounting bolts for the hub I used an 18 mm flex head gear wrench which worked great. I could only get my torque wrench on two of the 3 bolts so on the 3rd bolt I used a 1/2 Breaker bar to tighten it to the same level of effort on the other two bolts. Drivers side went much quicker than the passenger side.

I changed the front brake pads to ceraminlc performance pads (hopefully no more dust). I also rebuilt the front driver side's caliper bracket. It had a shot gasket which prevented it from sliding and chewed the bolt up.

And if any one is interested... I have pics of the job
And of the location of the "hidden" screws/bolts location
