Just before we sold the boat we had the driveway concreted. The Explorer was long gone & the only vehicle to tow it out the drive & leave it in the street was my Blazer. Took it out the drive, around the block & back to park outside in the street. Blazer towed it OK but then I was going slow. I believe on the level open road I'd be OK but when the hilly bits come along could be a challenge! LOL.

I reckon on a long haul, I'd cook the transmission & maybe the brakes too - even with the trailer being braked. The trailer with a full tank of gas (400 litres) & all it's associated kit weighs in at around 3000kg. The boat is just short of 8 metres long. Stands huge behind the truck LOL You've all seen the pics before but here they are again!

i have never seen those pics before!!! that boat is sweet!!!!!!! and ive seen a lot of boats in my life living near lake michigan and working on boats all summer!!!

My M416 trailer when I picked it up.
Next thing is trailer lid and the roof top tent going on top of it. I hardly notice it with its 1500lbs

That's a tilt/dump trailer isn't it? Looks cool & what about those tail lights on the blazer - I haven't seen anything like those over here.

I think its the law by them to have bulbs for blinkers parking lights and brake lights etc

i think those taillights are cool tho =)

The B&M Supercooler arrived yesterday. Took it out of the box & that lil bugger feels solid, very well made! They have their design of "stacked plates" that seem to be in a cross hatch design for more efficiency.
I got the 9800 BTU unit, model 70255 I believe. When it arrived I looked at the back of the box & they have a 3/4" thick 13,000 BTU unit that's only 1 1/2" taller. Damnit, I wish I would have saw that one but 9800 BTU should still make a difference. Especially when you think that small - mid sized window A/C's run between 5000 - 8000 BTU & think of the difference they make.

so heres the uhall trailer with the gravel i was pulling today, made 3 trips. i ended up getting 2 yards in it instead of 1 and a half the first trip only because the chick loading the trailer put the first scoop of gravel all the way in the front of the trailer and it almost bottomed out my truck, so i had her put another load in the back of the trailer so it evened out everything. it was a heavy load, im guessing about 5000 pounds including the the 1700 pound trailer. i was highly impressed with how well the blazer pulled it (3.73 diff probably helped), i had plenty of power on hills and stopping was fine with trailer brakes. i thought it would try and push the truck around but it was a smooth ride definitely knew it was there tho. with another tranny cooler i wouldn't have a problem pulling that weight or more over a long distance.

No tilt, it's a fix mounted bed. The trailer is an ex-Army trailer.
The rear lights on the Blazer are the stock European lights. As mentioned, we need to have amber tail turn signals and the rear for light (left side on the bottom)

Blazer is all nice n shiney including the rims, VN!
I see the rear of the blazer squatting a lil, that's not too bad if you had too much tongue weight. 3:73's are nice/would be nice especially since I have 32" tall tires & 3:42 gears. Maybe in the future... but nice haul with the blazer. My '02 is rated for 5000lb trailer weight with the class III hitch, which I'm pretty sure your '97 is as well.

<edit> don't they weight you coming in & going out so they can gauge how much load you have?

Sorry didn't take the best of pictures, but it didn't really squat the back end at all maybe an inch or two. The trailer was loaded pretty evenly. And at my local gravel place they don't weigh you, 1700lbs plus 2 yards of 1 1/2" rock pretty close to 5000lbs. But I think mine is rated to 5500 with the 3.73 or maybe it's 5000 I dont remember, and I don't know what hitch I have but I know it came stock so I'm guessing class III.
