the sending unit on my blazers fuel pump no longer works either. I never know how much gas I have so I religiously fill it up about every 200 miles and it has not run out yet. I would replace the pump but those things are extremely expensive I think the cheapest I could find was like $250 or something like that.

while on the subject of gas gauges, does anyone else's fluctuate a lot when its at 1/4 or below? ive never noticed my parents cars doing that before.

I feel your pain, when my pump died it chose to right in the middle of a very busy intersection ona main road........yes it does suck.
