While working in the engine compartment I found this broken piece of plastic sitting under the air filter box. Does anyone care to guess what it is and what it broke off of?

There are no wrong answers to what a Rorsarch ink blot test looks like. I keep changing my mind based on how big it is. It could be a broken clip or the thing under the front seats of my 2 door that makes air blow into the back seats.

A picture that gives some size perspective might help. Here it is from the other side and next to a pencil.

I'll be doing some work in the engine bay shortly so I'll take a look.

Looks like part of the air filter box that slides into and slots into the radiator support structure.

Is your air filter box solidly mounted? If so it's probably not the original and has been replaced because someone broke it and left the pieces behind.

If your air filter box is flopping around there, that is why.

As a matter of fact it does flop around a little bit. I did some searching online but couldn't find a picture of it or any for sale. Might be time to hit You Pull It again.
