Why is it that....
When I put the blazer in auto 4WD to rides and handles so much better than in 2WD?
And I'm not the only one who noticed the difference, one of my friends took it for a ride and drove it in 2wd then in 4wd and he noticed the difference.
I had him drive it in case I thought I was cracking up....
Thanks
Jim

4wd similar to AWD.... go drive an AWD car and tell me how it handles... It has to do with the power being spread evenly, now the auto 4wd should engage 4wd during certain situations to make it easier to control than 2wd...

There shouldn't be that much of a difference between 2HI and auto4 when just cruising around with good traction. The front axle being engaged in auto4 is the only real difference. Other than that, the transfer case isn't applying any real power to the front axle until slip is detected.

it's weird, when I got my differential leak repaired I put the blazer in Auto 4wd and it felt nicer to drive then I put it into auto 2Wd and it was ok.
I have tried this comparison before and still the same difference.
but it's just not me as I said before my friend tried it and he felt the same thing.
If you or anyone else tries it maybe you would know what I'm talking about, when you are on the highway put it into Auto 4Wd and drive it and just notice how it drives then put it into 2wd...
I don't know maybe I AM Cracking up!
