is it illegal to get the windsheild tinted also?

You can tint above the AS-1 line. The marking should be on the very edge of the windshield.

You can tint the top 4" only.

on cars and the like i see people having 50% or higher on the front windshield and it does look amazing, but it renders you more prone to an accident. sure it may look cool, but if you do it, do it responsibly and not go below 50% as that is where you will be looking out to drive in day AND night mind you. try having someone drive you in your blazer and watch through your rear windows the whole time, and see if thats what you want. a show car id say sure, go for it on the trailer queen, but i would advise against it on a DD for safety reasons, if you mean the whole windshield. if you mean just the very top, hell, spray paint it black, hahaha
