Default wth? New waterpump,now fan rubs shround.

Installed new pump today as mine was leaking out a weep hole. Now my fans rubbing the lower shroud. what the heck. Yes i checked the obvious,i even reinstalled the upper shroud etc to make sure nothing was out of line etc.


Yes,it looks to be the right pump. Im so pissed,i may take some snips and trim the lower shroud until it stops.

It sounds like you don't have the lower shroud sitting in just right did that myself once, it's a little finicky

i think i do,its flush against the rad,and it just looks perfect. ive done 3-4 of these. I guess tomorrow il whip out my dremel or sawzall and shave a bit off.

It had nothing to do with the shroud...
Turned out to be a casting issue on the pump. Its fixed now.
