When I accelerate, my a/c quits blowing through the top vents. I only blows throught the defroster or floor vent.

this can happen if there is a vacuum leak.

There is a vacuum reservoir on the passenger side under the hood. Typically it's a black ball type thing with vacuum lines into it. They leak frequently. Also, if there has been ANY other work done on the car, vacuum lines can get disconnected and not put back in place. Finding the leak is a difficult job sometimes.... so you will need a little luck, but that's all it is.
Hope this helps!

I checked most of the vacuum lines. The upper vents work only if I place the control to bi level A/C. Will sporatically work when placed in the maxi A/C position.
