Choking on anti-freeze!!! HELP!!!
I recently picked up an '88 S-10 Blazer 4x4. I replaced a faulty water pump.....we thought we did everything right. The leak is gone and I'm no longer losing coolant...but now the entire inside of the truck reeks of anit-freeze(it's been 3 days since we changed the pump). When the heater/defrost is on, the windshield/windows fog up really bad and the anti-freeze odor is damn near unbearable. Any ideas why this happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-

OK in the last few days I've seemed to notice similar things. Start up the truck and windows fog up but quickly goes away. I've noticed some light, "smells" not always antifreeze smell though. I was sittin in my driveway and looked in my side mirror and saw a little smoke. It was 62 degrees. When I start it up, something under the hood squeeks. Kindof like...a constant light squeek...with chirps in it. But it used to only do that when it was cold. Now it does it all the time. Is this the water pump causing this and/or heater core?

Yup. Heater core. Had a mechanic tell me the same thing this morning. On top of that, there's a new problem/symptom that began this morning....smoke from the defrost vents that basically fills the cab...occurs after motor warms up and continues 'til i kill the ignition.
