Default Fan Push or Pull?

Hi, New-B here with what is probably a stupid question. Does the fan on a 98 blazer push air out the grill or pull it it in? I just changed out the fan clutch, I'm sure I put the fan on the way it came off, but something just doesn't seem right to me. Thanks in advance.

That's what I figured. Is it possible its going backward due to the wrong fan clutch, or did I put the fan on backwards? I was sure I put the fan on the same way it came off. Fan rotates counterclockwise as you're facing the engine correct?

The fan is driven off of the waterpump... So unless you have your serpentine belt on wrong, everything should be fine.

As far as the rotation goes... I'd have to go take a look at mine to see...

Thanks guys. Its all good. I was certain it felt like it was pushing air out the grill, but a little smoke test proves I was just being paranoid!

Welcome, and I like your ingenuity to figure it out.

Good job.
