I have a 2003 2 door Blazer with the 4.3 liter V6, and I want to know how often you need to change the fuel filter. I also need to know where that thing is, and what a good brand is. Can they just be cleaned, or do they have to be replaced?

Recomended is like 30k miles, I think. It is on the frame rail. Fram or delco is a good filter. If you have a problem wiht getting crap gas, then you should change it more often.

Depends who you ask. I know a mechanic that changes the fuel filters on his vehicles every year. Other people will tell you every 30K or so is good. It depends how much you drive I guess. It's right on the frame rail below the driver side door. Crawl under and you'll see it. It's a metal canister. I don't think that you can clean the fuel filter. It's a sealed unit. They're only around 5 or 10 dollars, so just change it.
