Heated Mirrors - No Switch...

Heated Mirrors - No Switch...
Ok, for the 99 s10 blazer LS model, I have heated mirrors and I'm pretty sure all I need to do is add a switch because I didnt purchase the heated mirrors option.
Is this right? Any how-to's?
Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the site. If your truck has heated mirrors they come on whenever the rear defrost button is pushed on the HVAC control head. There is no seperate switch for these If they don't heat up either you don't have that option or there is a problem with the heating elements in the mirrors or the wiring to them.

Thanks for the welcome.
Well I'm outside of chicago and have not noticed them when I used the rear defrost. But at times I would use it, Ive already cleared all the snow off my car. And usually wipe down the mirrors. Because I didnt think I had the option (due to no switch).
I'll have to keep an eye out when it gets towards winter.
Thanks again and it does makes sense that it works off the rear defrost because there is no empty bezel or place for another button. And it has the defroster sign on the mirror, lol.
