I called my roommate Rob at work. I told him that I have some people willing to help us out. So I asked what was happening. I found out that he only has the keys for the truck. He lost his one keyless entry and the other will not work now that is why he tried his keys . He told me that when he uses his key to unlock and open the door the alarm is set off. He said it will keep going off until it seems like the battery will die. He said he cannot start the the Blazer at all when the alarm is going off. This is the info I got from him today. I still can stop by BW3's if you guys need more info to help me out. It won't be until later this evening.
I don't think he can try the method which swartlkk brought up. Especially since the keyless entry keypad is not working. Would there be a way to disarm the security sytem with the key? I like my roommate but he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed if you know what I mean. I would have figured he would have at least read the manual but I'm wondering if I am wrong. If there is some to disarm with the key I will beat knots on his head. Please and info on that please let me know.

I think I see a dealership in your friends future. If for nothing other than to have the alarm system relearn done to reprogram the key fob and possibly the key. I believe that they were using PassKey1 back then. Does his key have a little chip in it?
When I get home from work I'll have more resources at my disposal to help you out on this situation, but without the proper tools...

I still need to know if the light in the dash that says "security" stays solid while this is happening though

First we need to know if it is a factory alarm. From there, well, things need to proceed through PM (private message), because putting up alarm bypass instructions on the net just isn't right.
