how do you clean the EGR valve? ive heard people talkin bout doin this what does it help with or excatly what is a EGR valve?

There's plenty of posts you could read through describing the EGR valve and how to clean it, but alas...
EGR valve == Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve
Your's is located on the front of the engine, center of fan, pointing at you. It is about the size of a soda can and has an electrical connection on the top.
If you clean it, you'll need a new gasket for it.
To clean it, use some sensor safe carbon cleaner and an old tooth brush to clean out the passages. Simple as that.

alright is there really a point in cleaning it? does to help it run better or what?

If you are having trouble with your idle (fluctuations) or have some missing/stumbling symptoms then yes. If it's running normally, it couldn't hurt, but probably won't give you anything but peace-of-mind.
