Default interior lights

Hey everyone, I got a 92 Chevy S10 Blazer 4.3l CPI "W" 4 Door. I'm having a problem with my interior lights. When I open the front doors, they dont go on, neither when I turn the dimmer dial all the way to turn it on. Nothing Happens. BUT, when i open the rear doors, or the tailgate, the lights go on. Is there a setting a I have to change or something? The bulbs are all good. Is this how its supposed to be? I hope not. Someone help plz!!

Better a late reply than never.
Take the pin switch out of the drivers door jam. It sould have a white wire attatched to it. That wire if grounded should turn on the interior lights.
Jump it straight to ground....do the lights come on?
If they dont, check the wire for power...if now power, the wire is probably boken between the door switch and the headlight /dimmer switch.
Hope this helps....if you havent already fixed it.

Same for the front passenger door switch.
