Default no power to anything...just a battery?

i got an 02 blazer, and i walked out to start it this morning, and i turned the key and nothing. there is no power at all. no power locks, no radio, no anything at all. the key wont even come out of the ignition.

also, we tried to jump it, and with the clamps on the battery in my truck, we even touched the other 2 clamps together and no spark at all. also, when we place the clamps on the running car, there was nothing, no spark or anything.

im just wondering if this could just be a battery. ive had no problem starting it before and my mom, who i bought truck from, hasnt either. the truck only has 35K miles on it. im just worried its something further than just the battery, but the no sparks when touching the cables together really has me thinking the battery is just dead, and done.

might wanna check your battery terminals... OR if you find it's not the terminals use a meter and see if you have voltage in the battery with leads on it directly

the terminals looked fine. no corrosion or anything. im just thinking that something happened with the cell inside the battery...

sounds like it... I've seen the plates crack and the post no longer connected to it... OR... a REALLY high current state and burn something open in them...if yours has top posts too.. I'd check it and make sure you don't have any arc marks on the under side of the hood
