Default Turn singal switch ??

I was using my turn singal when it suddenly broke. Cannot use my turn singals any more.. The wipers still work.. How hard or easy is it to replace this switch? My truck is a 93 Chevy S-10 Blazer, 4X4.
Thanks.

It's a $500 job at the dealer. I know, because mine broke. Fortunately, for me, I had an extended warranty. For you, not so fortunate. You have to remove the steering wheel to replace that switch. It requires a wheel puller. The switch cost, I don't know, but I'll bet it is a lot. You might want to check a junk yard.

Yeah, bummer. Get a good book that describes operation, Haynes is enough for me to get by with. I have done it on a couple of tilt wheel models - Chevy, but not Blazer. Difficulty is in the eye of the beholder here. If you are brave, and a little mechanically inclined, its not too bad. One key word. AIR BAGS. Be darn careful you know what you are doing and read before proceeding.

Best practice is to get practice. If you purchase book, take it to the junkyard and ask the man if yuo can remove the new/used one yourself. Hint Hint, practice makes perfect. Of course a new one will last a whole lot longer.

One more hint. Chevy ignition switches are seriously challenged also. If its possible for you to find a new insert for the same key at the dealer, get one of those and change it too while the wheel is open. Have not asked that question in recent times. Used to be able to get the same lock insert for replacement.

LMC sells the switches for like $30.

Haynes manul covers the repair.

AutoZone has a free tool rental program. You buy the tool, then when you return it, you get your money back.

Thanks Guys,
Received a new ****ch from AutoZone today, cost me $27.99. I have a steering wheel puller. Now lets see if I can "pull this off".
