ok not sure what this might be just trying to get some insight on the matter
when ever i step on the gas hard(like to get through a busy road) the engine revs then goes back down then revs and drops down again. it will accelerate just not too fast. it only affects me in first gear when i am putting the most load on it. any ideas what could cause this?
oh yeah it is a 2000 blazer automatic 4 door

throttle position sensor, maybe? i'd think it'd happen intermittently through all gears, though.
does it feel like the transmission is slipping?

DO you have any stored codes?
Could be a fuel delivery problem. Like partially pluggeed fuel filter.

that's a good point. is the engine revving too high, or is it dropping too low?

i don't think the tranny is slipping, because when it revs i speed up then the rpms drop and i slow down. i would think if it was the tranny it would just rev up. This is the first automatic i have owned it 9 years.
No check engine light i did not even think of putting it on a code reader
I would say the drop is the strange part
I think I need to pick up a manual

you have to go threw the wheel well and turn the steering wheel till the flat part of the shaft is up. Then put the socket on it then extention, etc.
