I just bought/installed a k&n cone air filter w/chrome tube from "Chrome Intakes" on ebay. Has anyone seen this setup or installed one on their cpi engine ('92-'94)? If so, do you have any helpful advice or pictures detailing how you fastened the filter end of the tube to the engine bay. Its just that I don't like the hardware that comes with the kit and would like to see or hear of any provisions some of you might have done to secure the damn thing better than the way they offer. Thanx

This may not help you but the K&N intake on mine (1998) has a mount made out of a flat bar of steel and his clamp. If you can find a way to attach it to the radiator core support, it may help stabilize it.

My kit came with the aluminum flat bar too. Your supposed to twist and bend it so it will hold the assembly in place. Pretty flimsy imho... I'm just gonna do away with the hole thing for now and re-install my stock air box. Then when I get some spare time I will make a better support for it along with a good heat sheild. Thanx
