dual exhaust

Is it pipe or tubing? Whats the wall thickness. Using regular pipe is gonna be a bit overkill and add a ton of weight to the exhaust, better make sure you add extra hangers to support it. Also one type of tubing or pipe may say 2.5 but is that external or internal measurements?
I toyed with the idea of using 2.5 EMT (yes I'm and electrican) cause I can get it free and can bend it myself. Our tubing size for 2.5 is actually 2.75 so normal exhaust clamps and stuff designed for 2.5 wouldn't work.

Personally, I go by the inside wall to inside wall measurement- hence why I call it pipe. If its from outside to outside measurement its a tube. Atleast thats what I was taught anyways. Could be wrong but thats always how I've always heard the difference between pipes and tubes explained. You probably will want to grab an extra hanger or two anyways just incase one is in not so good condition depending on the mileage or year of your truck. Make sure you get the pipe mandrel bent and not crush bent.
