RE: Flowmaster 40 Series getting installed
yeah, being the driver you wont notice too much because of the rear exit of the exhaust, if it came out the side you would notice it more. if you want to know what it really sounds like outside get someone else to drive it as your outside listening to it.
or drive with the back hatch open down the street.

Yeah same problem here. It has a low idle. And i cant hear it much in the truck. A mechanic i talked to said the same thing about the 2 1/2 not making a diffrence.
Any body have a high flow cat on here. I want to get more roar and i wondered if this is worth the buy.

Yeah, I had my brother drive it around when I was outside it. It sounds very deep. I like it.
I also went to Midas today and the kid there told me a 2 1/2" pipe wouldn't make a difference. I brought up the Magnaflow Hi-flow cat to him and he said yeah that would definitely get a good sound out of it.
If you wanna get one, I say go for it. I'd like to hear the difference a hi-flow cat will make. Changing out an 11 year old muffler and leaving an 11 year old cat on really kills a lot of the sound. Especially because the sound passes through the cat first, so by time it hits the muffler there's not much sound coming out. If anything, I say a hi-flow cat is definitely the next best way to get a good sound.
