If the baffles are set up similarly to a Flowmaster, I guess it'd have to be close. Many of them I've seen, though, are just a loud muffler in the shape of a FM.

The bigger question is, does a FM sound worth a crap on a 4.3? I don't know the answer to that as mine has the awful factory exhaust...

Wink blazer with flowmaster

i have my 98 blazer 4x4 with a flowmaster 40 on it with the factory exhaust just cut my old factory muffler off and put the flowmaster in its place. sounds damn good for a 4.3 vortec. sounds similar to a v8 sound.. hope this helps. personally i like flowmaster better than replicas. if it dosent have have flowmaster stamped on the muffler it aint a master....

Gotta agree with you there... My '74 Ford F250 has flowmaster exhaust and you just can't beat that sound...

If you didn't know, the patent for most of the flowmaster designs ran out, so copy's if well made should sound nearly exact.
