Flowmaster Super 44?
I just ordered a Flowmaster Super 44 Exhaust for my 2001 Chevy Blazer LS and I was wondering if this will be by far illegal. People I've talked with tell me theres no way I'll pass inspection. I know theres different limits for different states but if it helps at all I live in MA. Thanks alot. Oh and ill be putting on a Gibson Tailpipe tip as well.
This is from the MA State Regulations:
"Muffler and Exhaust System. Accelerate motor to test for prevention of unnecessary noise and emission of any unreasonable amount of smoke... Unnecessary noise is herein defined as any noise which is louder than that emitted by the vehicle when equipped with the original manufacturer's equipment."
With that rule in mind, I guarantee that a Super 44 would fail, but it would probably come down to the decision of the inspector.
Here is the link.

Not a hard question to look-up the answer for on the 'net. Here's a link to the Texas DPS regs on exhaust inspection. As you can read, it says that noise is not an inspection factor. That said, I assure you that the various municipalities have their own rules for vehicle noise.
