Well just a warning, everybody and their momma knows how to blow out a glass pack, including cops. The noise level is most of the time put in the cops hands to determine so even if you have the shell there and they think its too loud they can ticket you.

If you wanna be loud, dont half a** it. Run side pipes. Or better yet , fender exit headers. LOL . Ive had several trucks the way you want yours to sound and trust me , youll get tired of it pretty quick. When you cant hear the radio or have to kill the truck at the drive through/just to talk to somebody at your window , youll be lookin for some mufflers

That's what I'm planning to do with my exhaust. I've already punched the Cats completely and just need to weld a pipe fitting to get rid of the chamber.

Thanks for the link swartlkk, answered quite a few questions. I just might end up using the glasspack vs the vortex muffler.

Oh, I had A Cherry Bomb glasspack on my 88... sounded pretty good, nice throaty rumble to it. Now if only I had both of them it would have sounded better... but alas I hate exhaust work and my engine blew lol.
